Findhotel-USA.com was initially conceived in 1999. A small group of us decided that there was a need for a travel web site which provided a quick and simple method of searching for and booking hotel accommodation on the Internet.
Many of the travel sites available today have annoying adverts or pop-ups which frustrate attempts to find accommodation rather than helping it.

We found that most users wanted a simple site which provided a list of hotels sorted by room rate with pictures and a summary of the hotel facilities. This provides a simple mechanism for 'browsing' the available hotel list.

We also found that some users know the full name or part of the name of a hotel. A simple index of hotels listed by name is not always sufficient. Here at findhotel-usa.com we devised a sounds-like search which enables users to enter the name (or part name) of a hotel and search for all hotels with that name or with a name which sounds similar.
Over the past few months this has become the most popular search type for this site.
